Yeah I think that 6-8 characters would be excellent.

Sign me up for +1 character spot. On one condition: UAS and UAR are implimented in the same patch. Why, you ask? Cause then people couldn't say they've been put at an unfair advantage for using their RPers in PvP.

But no higher than 6. I think 5 is good enough... With three chars you can fufill all six professions while using them to unlock skills for experimentation with your pvp char in the fourth slot. You can always adjust and recreate pvp chars so you can try different professions. If they made more professions then they might need more slots.

I completly argee with you. 6 or 5 is a good number of slots.
Considering...3/4 of my characters are ascended, 2/4 have done all the mission. What will i do after Fissure and UW get boreing...

You have to realize that this game has no monthly fee, and it takes money to maintain high amounts of character data.

7 slots; one for each class and a spare for PvP builds.

But only for 6 slots, 8 slots is over the top. This has been my only complaint with the game, but honestly if it is not done I will still play. It would just be nice to have the 6. I know I'm going to need to delete that fourth filled slot with the lvl 5 mesmer in pre-searing in my tray, for pvp but I really dont want to yet.

Then delete them... seriously, everything you've unlocked is well... unlocked. You don't need anymore room just because you have a sentimental value for your "mo/me" character (And i'm just throwing a profession out there)... but seriously... three role playing characters is plenty... ive unlocked all my needed skills through just two... you can switch secondaries... and well, the pvp character starts at twenty and can use all of that...

Really, there's plenty of room.

**Main point, delete them you crying sissy, don't get so emotional over deleting a "favorite" "Hero" that you no longer play enough**

I guarentee that there won't be more slots till there are more skills/more profession combos... because as MANY people have posted, and you just won't listen,...

If you have too many in the begining, all those people with bots/ others that just dont have a life and farm all day... that creates a huge problem being able to have that many "mules"(characters to hold items/gold on), which well... is just gay... there are plenty of accounts out there, i'm sure that are filled up already, and are praying for extra character spaces, just so they can have extra room... It drains the economy too fast...

All I really need is 1 more right now, plus 2/3 of a slot for each new profession or race (2 slots for 3 new professions)

I'm planning on buying another account so I can run two accounts simultaneously: one on my labtop and the other my desktop. Of course, both computers are on my desk...

/signed anyway. PvP and RP should both have access to 4 unique characters.

Crying sissy? If you need to call someone a sissy over simply not sharing your opinion (heaven forbid people have different viewpoints) then maybe you are the one who gets overly emotional.

You assume I have a 'favorite hero' who I no longer play enough. Unfortunately this is wrong, because I play all 3 of them equally, and being a no-grinder and no-farmer, I dont have all skills unlocked for any of them and wontnt for awhile longer. I take my time. So yes, I still need all 3 of them.

Additionally, my PvE characters have superior runes while my PvP ones dont - one more reason to prefer them over a PvP only template. I use my PvE characters more often in PvP (and yes, all of them) than I use PvP characters.

Last I knew, it was not possible to instantly re-create a level 20 roleplay character with access to all skills that were already unlocked. So not wanting to delete them has nothing to do with sentimentality, but rather not wanting to spend another 3 RL weeks to recreate them after deletion. (And before you tell me that it is possible to get them to max level in 2 days - not everyone has much time to play, nor does everyone enjoy rushing.)

Would be happy with a dedicated PvP only slot plus the four PvE slots we currently have.

I would like to create a dedicated monk because I feel there is a lack of them in the game, however I do not want to delete my other three characters which I enjoy because their play style is totally different to each other {W/E, Me/Mo and R/N), and I want to play through any additional content (such as the new areas we’re getting soon) with these characters. If I used my 4th slot for the monk then I can’t experiment with various PvP builds.

The correct answer is 6 slots. One for each primary profession. The secondary is basically irrelevant and interchangeable after ascension. This way, endless character experimentation can occur.

Also, one dedicated slot for an interchangeable PvP only character.

so 7 in total.

Then i repeat... delete them and remake them as pvp characters, no need to roleplay with every character unless you "Absolutely" need to get all quests/mission bonus's... but otherwise, you can delete them, and remake them... everything you unlocked is well... unlocked...

You can use one roleplaying character to unlock the needed superior/major runes or w/e it is, that you so despirately can't get rid of.

Besides, if you've got three characters, with three superior runes that you've bought (one for each, i would assume, since you so despirately can't delete one)... then you farm for cash, or have plenty of life time to waste... so well... i repeat yet again... delete them if you so "despirately" need that extra character you want to try.

So i repeat this as well... go delete them you nancy boy.

Just so no one gets the wrong idea...

I would love to see an extra two slots... 6 would be fine...

I guess with all my discussions about the reasons for wanting extra slots, i never actually agreed with the original poster... my bad.
